Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

behold. my long-delayed everything i know about love review!!
i picked this book up on a whim after seeing literally all of bookstagram rave about it through reviews and aesthetic flatlays. what i didn’t expect was to feel so profoundly understood by a book that is essentially an amalgamation of anecdotes, recipes, text conversations, and emails.
this is alderton’s own little treasure trove of recollections, identity crises, innermost thoughts, and lightbulb moments—the sad, celebratory, and everything in between. as a woman in my early 20s who has, like most, grappled with the very issues that alderton so candidly opens up about (e.g., physical appearance, female friendships, romantic relationships, etc.), i found this book exceedingly intimate and refreshing; thank you for being the big sister we all needed @dollyalderton !! 💙💚
